Rugby is a team sport invented in 1823 played with an oval ball between two teams on a grass field. The objective is to advance the ball until it flattens in the opponent's goal.

A player may only make a hand pass to another player backwards or sideways, i.e. in any direction except forwards. A player can, however, send the ball forward (and in other directions) by kicking it with their foot.
